Investments in the Southeast are booming. Without exception, so are the startups and ventures coming out of Atlanta, GA. In March of this year, 2019, 11-11 Ventures completed their investment of $1.22 million with six startups. We are honored to be one of those companies that received funding. There is a common thread among the companies that received investments. Five out of the six startups presented at Venture Atlanta in 2018 as the next wave of technology innovators.
“They’re some of the brightest talents to come out of not just the Southeast, but the entire nation — something that investors have discovered about the majority of the companies at Venture Atlanta.” – Allyson Eman
11-11 Ventures Invests in Eletype
We believe that Venture Atlanta leads the nation as a technology conference. Some attendees consider it the top technology investment event in the Southeast. Venture Atlanta has gone from bringing together entrepreneurs of early stage companies in the Southeast to bringing them together with investment. As of April 4th, 2019, the 11-11 mini-fund will spell success for connecting strategic capital to early stage technology startups long after the conference has closed.
“We fortunate to have 11-11 in our community. They’ve shown they are willing to make early investments in strong technical founding teams. We are also very thankful to Venture Atlanta for creating an environment where these introductions and investments can happen.” – Michael Sengbusch, CEO of Eletype
Currently in its 12th year, Venture Atlanta continues to connect the region’s best and brightest innovators with investors. This year’s conference will take place October 16-17 in the heart of downtown Atlanta at the Southern Exchange at 200 Peachtree.
“Venture Atlanta is a conference with a history of high-quality early-stage companies, and the 2018 batch of startups were no exception,” says Mike Dowdle, Managing Partner of the 11-11 Venture Atlanta mini-fund. “Companies presenting at Venture Atlanta over the past five years have collectively raised over $650M of add-on capital and seen 20 investment exits. We enabled two dozen individual investors to get access to six of the best companies in the southeast through our mini-fund.”
Venture Atlanta helps make the connections needed for companies that need resources to flourish. With over 1000+ attendees and 250+ investors coming to the 2019 event, past attendees have been introduced to people who went on to become partners, customers, mentors and employees. It’s the goto conference for emerging tech startups. In their own words Venture Connects is all about serving “as a connection point for all who attend, and that connection may be just the thing your company needs to take it to the next level.”
“Our mission is to help connect companies with capital”, says Palaniswamy ‘Raj’ Rajan, co-founder and board member of Venture Atlanta and Chairman of SoftWear Automation. “We’re especially proud that there are many investable high-quality tech companies in the Southeast that are raising and finding capital from partners like 11-11 Ventures and Circadian Group who are enabling individual investors within Georgia to invest in these opportunities.”
